BRAND

The desire to turn the ephemeral joys of summer into something timeless led Beth Maloney to found Summer Hours in 2021.

The brand's ethos is simple: capture the essence of carefree, sun-soaked moments to allow them to linger long after summer has ended. "I wanted to preserve the scents encountered — and the feelings evoked — by a day at the beach, a walk through the woods, a trip to a favorite spot, a dip in the ocean," says Maloney, who has spent her career providing creative direction to brands.

Summer Hours' four fragrances — made from clean, vegan, and cruelty-free ingredients — are a delicate interplay of lightness and complexity. They're composed of the fruits, flowers, vines, and woods that are at their peak in the the months of summer. The scents have resonated with customers and become a favorite of the editors of Vogue, goop, Travel + Leisure, and beyond.

Alongside the fragrances, Maloney also curates a collection of one-of-a-kind and vintage finds. Each piece is chosen for its effortless, summery vibe.

Based in the coastal town of Fairfield, Connecticut, Summer Hours can be found online and at select stockists located across the country.
